Amsterdammers love their bikes so much that each person has more than one. That’s right, there are more bikes in the city than people! Since you always seem to be walking on a bike path anyway (judging by the locals ringing their bells at you) you might as well get a bike yourself. It’s more fun to explore on wheels!

Mike and his crew give probably the best guided bike tours of the city and the country. They have been in business for a while now, and they know Amsterdam.

We remember when they started with a few bikes and just did tours in the warm months. Now they have 300+ bikes and are open year round for tours and rentals. But they still feel young and credible.

They offer three daily bike tours. The Countryside Tour (11:00 am) goes down the Amstel river with glimpses of old Holland – you know, cheese, windmills, rowing and clog making.

The City Tour (12:00pm) bikes around the city center which is beautiful. They get into draw bridges, house boats, and canals and yes, the Red Light District.

The Mini City Tour (4:00pm) is shorter.

Reservations required. The Countryside and City Tours fill up. Mini City Tour is easier to get last minute, but contact them as soon as you know.
